New 'Socialism' poster by Ben Newman

Pocko Illustrator Ben Newman has created this poster for Bristol's only club on a boat, the Thekla. It will be used as a promotional piece for their 'Socialism' music night.

Nick White Exhibition at Concrete Hermit

Boy oh boy! I am super excited about Nick White's debut solo show that has just started at Concrete Hermit in London and features oodles of prints and original artwork. On the 17th September Nick's first book 'People I've never met and Conversations I've never had', published by the fine chaps at Nobrow, will be launched. The Launch starts at 6.30pm at Concrete Hermit, 5a Club Row, London E1 6JX. Nick will be around to sign copies and say howdy so come along.

London Design festival- Brazil Illustrated

We are off to Gallery 32 at the Brazilian Embassy to check out the show "Brazil Illustrated", an exhibition of works by three up-and-coming Brazilian illustrators: Bruno Kurru, Wagner Pinto and Eduardo Recife. It should be good!

Adam Hayes in Sierra Leone

In June this year, Pocko artist Adam Hayes worked with Christian Aid in Sierra Leone to help design a billboard that provides more accurate and clear health advice for the prevention of AIDS and HIV in the country. The billboard above will appear on billboard sites across Sierra Leone.
Working with communities in Freetown and Jendema, Adam created a billboard design which highlighted the many health issues associated with the virus and making it understood by a large illiterate population.

Ben Newman's hand-printed book

Pocko illustrator Ben Newman worked with talented writer Scott James Donaldson to produce The Bento Bestiary. They wanted to take the ancient Japanese Yokai and re-interpret them in a whole new light but still stay true to their origins. The result is this very sexy hand-printed book which was screen-printed in 3 colours by the very talented chaps at Nobrow and is limited to just 100 copies.
